Create a market scoping request

Submit a job role to KMC for market scoping and get salary benchmarks, hiring difficulty and talent pool insights. Covers uploading a job description (PDF or DOCX), pasting text, currency, search location, Blind CV option and submitting for review.

A market scoping request asks KMC to research a role for you. You get salary benchmarks and market insights for each role in your job description.

Before you start

  • You need Market Scoping access on your account. If you don't see Market Scoping in the sidebar, ask your company admin or Client Services.
  • Select the client you are requesting for. Without a client, HUB shows Select a client to continue.

Start a new request

  1. Select Market Scoping in the sidebar.
  2. Select Create Request.
  3. Under Role Details, choose the Currency, Search Location and Client's Location. Job Title (Optional) can stay empty when you upload files.
  4. Under Customization, add a Custom AI instruction (optional) for our analysts, up to 1,000 characters.
  5. Tick Include Blind CV if you also want anonymized candidate CVs.

Add the job description

Under Job Description, pick one source:

  • Upload PDF or DOCX: up to 10 files, 10 MB each. Each file becomes its own request, and files with several roles are split automatically.
  • Paste text: paste the full description, up to 20,000 characters.
  • Generate with AI: let AI draft it. See Write a job description with AI.

Review and submit

  1. Select Continue to open the Review step.
  2. Check the summary. Select Back to change anything.
  3. Select Submit Request. For uploads, select Review & submit.
  4. For uploads, check the AI-suggested title for each role in Review suggested titles, then select the Confirm & create button. It shows how many requests will be created.
  5. Your request is sent to KMC for review.

Note: Every role needs a title before you can confirm. If a title is flagged as low confidence, HUB asks you to verify it. Check those titles before you confirm.

Troubleshooting

  • Only PDF and DOCX files are accepted. Convert the file and upload it again.
  • Each file must be 10 MB or smaller. Compress or split the file.
  • Please fix the highlighted fields to continue. A required field is empty, such as Currency or Search Location.
