Why was my payment declined?
Your card payment failed or was declined in HUB. Learn what "Payment failed · retrying automatically" means, how to update your card, retry the payment, and when to contact billing.
On this page
A payment is declined by your bank or card issuer, not by HUB. Common causes are an expired card, not enough available credit, or a bank security block.
Payment failed and retrying automatically
If a renewal charge fails, the membership shows a banner: Payment failed · retrying automatically. It shows the amount outstanding and when the next automatic retry happens.
You don't have to wait for the retry. You can fix the card and pay now.
Update your card and pay now
- Select Membership in the sidebar and open the membership.
- In the banner, select Manage card.
- Add a new card or choose another saved card, then save.
- Select Pay outstanding.
- Check the amount and card in Confirm payment, then select Pay now.
If the banner shows Add payment method instead, there's no card on file. Select it and add a card first.
Why some invoices paid and others failed
When you pay several invoices at once, each one is charged separately. HUB lists which invoices were paid and which failed, with the reason for each failure. Fix the card, then pay again to settle the rest.
What to check before you retry
- The card hasn't expired and the details are correct.
- The card has enough available credit for the full amount.
- Your bank allows online or international charges. Some banks ask you to approve them in their app.
Warning: Don't retry the same card many times in a row. Repeated attempts can make your bank block further charges for a while.
Still declined?
Call your bank first. They can tell you why they declined the charge. If it still fails, email the billing team at billing@kmc.solutions with the invoice number. Never send your full card number by email or chat.
